We Started With a Tank, a Dream, and a Very Grumpy Goat
The Grumpy Goat Brewing Company was born from a simple idea: make beer that tastes like something real. Not the watered-down stuff. Not the overhyped stuff. Just honest, well-crafted beer that earns its place in your glass.
Our founders — a pair of Monroe locals who spent years traveling the country tasting every hoppy IPA and malty stout they could find — decided it was time to bring that craft home. They bought a 10-barrel system, converted a garage, and started brewing on Friday nights. By spring, the line out the door convinced them to go all in.
Today, we're proud to be Monroe's neighborhood brewery — a place where regulars know your name, the taps are always rotating, and the goat on the sign is somehow still grumpier than the day before.
